Final exam preparation: Linking texts, tables, and statements (Latvian)
How it works
In this unit, we practice how to link information from Latvian texts, tables, and statements. The goal is to recognize central statements, details, and connections, and to correctly assign matching information from different forms of presentation. Typical tasks are comparing a text and a table, identifying which statement fits which section, or drawing logical conclusions from several sources of information. Example: In a text it says ‹Anna dzīvo Rīgā› and in a table it says ‹Vārds: Anna, Pilsēta: Rīga› – these pieces of information belong together.
To link information correctly, pay attention to content matches, synonyms, and logical connections. Read the text and table carefully and check whether names, places, numbers, or statements match.
An example
Assign the matching table row to the text: ‹Skolas karjeras dienā Jānis stāsta par savu darbu slimnīcā. (A) ‹Jānis – skolotājs› (B) ‹Jānis – ārsts› (C) ‹Jānis – students› (D) ‹Jānis – šoferis›.
