Time and time intervals
How it works
For times, the sexagesimal system applies. Convert hours and minutes first into minutes. A time interval is end time minus start time; if crossing midnight, add one day.
Note
1 h = 60 min; 1 min = 60 s; time span = end − start.
1 h = 60 min; 1 min = 60 s; time span = end − start.
An example
A course starts at 15:20 and ends at 15:59. How long does it last? Give the result in min.
In minutes after midnight: Start 920, End 959. Difference = 39. Result: 39 min.
