Median, range and mean
How it works
Sort data to determine the median. For an even number, it is the average of the two middle values. The range describes the distance between the largest and smallest value.
Note
Range = Maximum − Minimum; Median: middle value or mean of the two middle values.

An example
Determine the median of 25, 9, 33, 17. Provide only the requested number.
Sorted: 9, 17, 25, 33. The two middle values are 17 and 25; take their average. Result: 21.
