Proportional assignments
How it works
In proportional assignments, the quotient of the assigned values remains the same. The rule of three first leads to one unit and then to the desired quantity.
Note
y=k·x; k=y/x.
y=k·x; k=y/x.
An example
10 notebooks cost 70 €. How much do 9 identical notebooks cost? Give the result in €.
A notebook costs 70:10=7 €. Multiply for 9 notebooks by 9. Result: 63 €.
