Percentage calculation
How it works
The base value is the whole, the percentage value is a part of it. The percentage rate gives the share in hundredths. First determine which of the three quantities is sought.
Note
W=G·p/100; p=100·W/G; G=100·W/p.
W=G·p/100; p=100·W/G; G=100·W/p.
An example
Calculate 10 % of 710 €. Provide the result in €.
W=G·p:100=710·10:100. Result: 71 €.
