Data and simple random experiments
How it works
In a Laplace experiment, all possible outcomes are equally likely. The probability of an event is the proportion of favorable outcomes. The median is the middle value of sorted data.
Note
P = favorable / possible outcomes; median: middle of the sorted list.
P = favorable / possible outcomes; median: middle of the sorted list.
An example
A bag contains 4 red and 8 blue balls. What is the probability of red in percent? Round to two decimal places. Give the result in %.
P(Red) = 4 / (4 + 8); multiply by 100 for percent. Result: 33.33 %.
