Cuboids, cubes and volume
How it works
Volume measures the space content. For a cuboid, the three edge lengths are multiplied. The surface consists of six rectangles; for a cube, they are all the same size.
Note
Cuboid: V=a·b·c, O=2(ab+ac+bc); Cube: V=a³; 1 l=1000 cm³.

An example
A cuboid has edge lengths 4, 3, and 7 cm. Calculate the volume. Give the result in cm³.
V = a · b · c = 4 · 3 · 7. Result: 84 cm³.
