Interconnected physics final tasks – basic principles
How it works
Final tasks in physics connect different subject areas such as mechanics, energy, electricity, optics and atomic physics. They require applying basic laws such as the law of conservation of energy, Ohm's law, conservation of momentum, the relationship between work and power, as well as fundamental models of the propagation of light and the structure of matter. Typical is recognizing how different physical quantities are related and transferring concepts to new situations. Central skills are analyzing everyday phenomena, applying formulas and drawing conclusions from measurement data.
Interconnected physics tasks require applying several basic principles to a concrete situation, recognizing relationships between physical quantities and transferring concepts to new contexts.
An example
A car travels at a constant speed of 72 km/h on a straight road. How large is the kinetic energy of the car if its mass is 1200 kg?
