Triangles and angle sums
How it works
The interior angles of any triangle add up to 180°. In an isosceles triangle, the base angles are equal. A quadrilateral has an interior angle sum of 360°.
Note
Triangle: α + β + γ = 180°; Quadrilateral: sum of angles 360°.
Triangle: α + β + γ = 180°; Quadrilateral: sum of angles 360°.
An example
A triangle has angles of 49° and 25°. How large is the third? Give the result in °.
Angle sum 180°: 180°−49°−25°. Result: 106 °.
