Data stored by the application
AmyMath stores usernames, email addresses, password hashes, account membership and roles, courses, learning preferences, answers, grading, learning points and review dates to operate learning accounts and show progress. Administrators have technical access for support and administration. There are no public personal leaderboards.
Login log and user profile
The user profile stores language, grade level, and number of questions. Successful and failed logins as well as logouts are logged with username, time, IP address, and browser ID for operation and security. Only authorized administrators see this data. No passwords or session keys are recorded. Entries older than 90 days are regularly deleted.
Technical operation and cookies
Requests may generate operational logs containing IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, browser information and response status. Hosting uses shared hosting and a VPS; exclusive processing in the European Economic Area is not guaranteed. Functional cookies support sign-in, CSRF protection and language choice. Sign-in sessions last up to one hour and are configured as browser sessions; the CSRF cookie may last up to one year. No advertising or analytics scripts are included.
Learning content and optional document processing
The mathematics exercises are graded locally; answers are not sent to an AI provider for grading. The existing administrative document feature stores uploaded documents and extracted text. Only explicit selection of AI mode sends selected text passages and source references to the configured OpenAI API. Administrators must use only documents authorised for that processing.
Use and legal bases
Depending on use, the data is processed to provide requested access to learning or to perform a contract (Art. 6 para. 1 point b GDPR); technical security data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in secure operation (point f). For accounts managed by schools or other institutions, responsibilities and permitted processing must be clarified before activation. Parents, guardians or responsible institutions can contact the operator with questions about children's accounts. The application does not make automated decisions with legal effects.
Retention, deletion and rights
Accounts and progress remain stored to support access. Contact info@platinium.tech to request administrative deletion or correction. Signing out does not delete an account. Backups hold historical copies and are handled separately for deletion requests. Where legal conditions apply, rights include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and complaints to a competent supervisory authority, including Latvia’s Datu valsts inspekcija. Contact the controller for details of hosting providers, transfer safeguards and retention.
